Run the systems in parallel where practical
Before the final cutover, verify future reservations, availability, property data and operational responsibilities. Define who owns each migration step and how exceptions will be handled.
Evaluate the replacement around the operating day
Do not compare only feature checklists. Test how quickly managers can understand today's arrivals, departures, turnovers, assignments and performance. The new PMS should remove operational work, not simply move it.
